The foundation — humane exclusion first

Our method is simple: design systems that prevent perching or access so birds aren’t attracted to the site in the first place. Exclusion (netting, guards, solar mesh) and perch denial (post-and-wire, spikes) are humane, long-term and generally licensable without complex permissions when installed outside active nesting.

Timing and active nests — why it matters

Works should avoid disturbing active nests. On discovery of a likely nest, we survey, record species/activity and select a lawful route. Outside active nesting, we deep-clean fouling and install proofing so birds can’t return. Where public health or serious damage is at stake, specific licensed actions may apply; we handle this process, advise on timing and document the rationale.

Typical lawful measures we install

Netting and post-and-wire

Physical exclusion and perch denial systems that keep birds off ledges, plant decks and courtyards. Mesh sizes and wire geometry are chosen by species to remain effective and humane.

Spikes on narrow perches

Appropriate for signs, small sills and brackets. They remove the landing platform without injuring birds when specified and fixed correctly.
