EXCELLENT Based on 437 reviews Posted on Spencer RichardsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mark came & saw us with a mouse issue. Was very knowledgeable & carried out a survey of the premises. We have used the firm before - very reliable & flexible with appointments. Gave piece of mind & fees are very good.Posted on Jac BarsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a problem with our loft electrics being chewed and stripped. Our initial thoughts were mice or squirrels, but on talking to Mark he was pretty certain it was in fact Parakeets. On his arrival at our property he confirmed within minutes that it was parakeets and exactly where they had got into the roof. Through an external extractor fan cover which they had broken through and nested in our eaves (who knew!). Mark really knew his stuff re their behaviour and was excellent, fixing the issue quickly and efficiently. I’d not hesitate to use him again for any pest problems we have in the future.Posted on Rishi HTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We’ve used A&H a few times over the last couple of years and always find Mark and the team to be very responsive, professional and knowledgeable. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services.Posted on Jocelyn D’SouzaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mark was great, contacted me past working hours and came out the following day. Had a rat in the toilet drain, he came, laid bait and advised on remedial action. Really helpful and would recommend him to anyone!Posted on Neil RamsdenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Just had solar panel bird protection fitted. very neat and very happy with the service I highly recommend. Much better than the plastic ones used by a lot of solar companies!Posted on ElliottEKATrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A&H Pest Control were excellent from start to finish. They came round same day I called, confirmed the noise was mice after finding droppings, and thoroughly laid poison in all the affected areas. They were professional, knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly. After about 10 days the noise completely stopped, which shows the treatment worked. Very happy with the service and would definitely recommend A&H Pest ControlPosted on Camilla DeweyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We used A&H for pest control. Excellent service and Mark was very responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend.Posted on Will FairleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Top guy, top service! We heard noises in our roof space, saw the brilliant reviews, and contacted Mark who came round the next day. Based on our conversation, and even with extremely limited access to the roof space, he thought a squirrel may have moved in; he set two traps and returned a week or so later when we felt we hadn’t heard noises for a few days. Mark was right; a squirrel had been caught and the problem is now solvedPosted on Jp DavieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Professional and quickPosted on Gerald MasonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mark had been fantastic helping us with a pest problem in our cellar. He comes out quickly, explains clearly what the issue is, answers any questions we have, and is very professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. Thanks Mark!
Bird activity looks like a cosmetic problem until the bills arrive: stained façades, blocked gutters, corroded fixings, damaged roof membranes, contaminated plant decks and slip hazards around entrances. Add the disease risks from fouling and nesting debris, and the case for professional bird control becomes clear. This page outlines the main ways birds damage buildings, how fouling and nesting create health risks, and what preventative systems stop the cycle for good. A&H Pest Control serves London & Southern England with humane, durable bird control.
Fouling is acidic and gritty. Left in place, it etches stone and render, discolours coated metals and plastics, and stains signage and cladding.
Repeated streaks down stone, brick or powder-coated panels are difficult to remove completely. Even after cleaning, ghosting remains. Proofing removes the behaviour that causes it.
Droppings and trapped debris hold moisture against bitumen and single-ply membranes. Over time, this accelerates deterioration. Regular clean-downs and exclusion protect the roof warranty.
Metal housings, rails and fixings on plant decks corrode faster under fouling. Electrical cabinets and cable trays suffer accelerated wear; prevention is cheaper than replacement.
Nesting material and feathers dam outlets. Overflow soaks fascias and internal walls; in cold snaps, ice adds weight and damage. Guards and exclusion remove the cause; cleaning becomes occasional, not constant.
Under-panel nesting traps debris against wiring and reduces airflow. Fouling washes across modules, reducing generation and creating a dirty facade below the array. Solar panel mesh prevents access; regular cleaning preserves output and appearance.
Bird fouling and nesting debris can harbour pathogens and parasites. On walkways, handrails and outdoor seating, this turns into a hygiene risk. On plant decks and around air intakes, contamination can be tracked indoors. Professional decontamination and safe disposal are part of every A&H installation.
Fouling at entrances, steps and ramps is a well-known slip hazard. Perch denial on the features above (signs, overhangs, light boxes) removes the source. Netting or wire systems keep birds away from zones where the public congregate.
For shops, restaurants and offices, visible fouling and noise drive complaints. Outdoor seating beneath perches is quickly abandoned. Investing in durable systems pays for itself in reduced cleaning, safer access and a cleaner experience for customers and staff.
Use post-and-wire for discreet perch removal; add spikes only on small projections. Result: clean stone without visual clutter.
Install netting to keep entire zones clear. Provide zipped access for maintenance. Result: clean access routes and protected equipment.
Fit stainless spikes edge-to-edge. Result: no landing platform, less fouling, fewer cleans.
Add clip-on mesh to stop under-panel access. Result: protected cables, clean gutters, steadier array efficiency.
Use vent guards and eaves sealing that maintain airflow. Result: no cavity nesting, fewer insect spill-overs, better indoor air quality.
Regular washing addresses symptoms, not causes. In many cases it also spreads residues unless decontamination is done correctly. Long-term protection requires removing the perch or the access so birds cannot return.
We use appropriate biocides, PPE and methods that prevent aerosolisation. Waste is bagged and disposed of responsibly. Clean surfaces accept adhesives and fixings better, so your system stays put.
If you’re seeing repeat fouling, blocked gutters, or under-panel nesting, the most cost-effective step is a survey and a targeted, humane fix. We’ll explain options, compare methods, and give you a competitive, transparent quote. Call 020 8295 3402.
